News for the week...

Firstly... I need to learn to spell-check/grammar-check these entries. Really squeally, I sound like a dork half the time... and no comments from the peanut gallery, thanks.

Secondly... I'll start updating my challenge ficcies this weekend - so that's four updates right there - Dark Moon Rising (30friends), Dream of the Fayth (30fantasies), and Miss Independent and Takoyaki Power (sp?) (both 1sentence). Whew! And hopefully I'll get some other fics up, more notably I'll aim for Play with Fire and Wonderwall, but I'm working on everything, mind you, so we'll just see what comes along.

Thirdly... Why is this entry called Mercury? Because that is the name of my new car. My dream car. That I am now incredibly poor for purchasing this weekend, but damn does it rock. The new 2006 C70 Volvo convertable. I've needed a new car for like two years now, and now... I want to cry because I love that car so much. Or perhaps that's the debt talking...

Hell with it. Mercury rocks. I love that car. And don't even try to sue me, because I have less than nothing... and I'd die before I'd let you take that car!

Oh dear God, is it truly May already? When I fall off the face of the earth, I really fall off... rather clumsily, honestly.
Anywho, I hope to update by next weekend. My big project at work, which I've been slaving over non-stop for the last month, meets its completion tomorrow and Wednesday. When I get back home, I plan to do a lot of cleaning - at work and home to make up for the sorry state of neglect that everything is sporting right now. Hell, I looked at my house plants yesterday... eep. But my living room is now spotless from my full day cleaning frenzy... only day I've had to do anything at home in the last three weeks... I shudder to even look at my bedroom's state.
So anywho, I do have a couple of things I'll probably post this week... my Mai Valentine 1sentence challenge, and I hope to get the 30friends first short out as well, both of which I'm posting this weekend because I'm not sure how much longer I've got before my first-posting deadline runs out... gr.
Had a YGO marathon yesterday while I cleaned. Watched all of Duelist Kingdom through the Mai vs Yugi duel. Did this to get me psyched up to finish DWG:TWT and to work on some other ficcies. Things that I was reminded of / rediscovered from my marathon...

Seto Kaiba is still a sexy bastard... and I'm just going to pretend that he's legal and not 10 years younger than me.
Mai just rocks. I so want to be Mai Valentine.
Bakura is cuter than I remembered... but what is up with that gay little outfit?
The scene where Ryou gets run over by the inflatible boulder... need I say more?
Tristan's voice change after they get to DK - good change. That first voice was goofy.
World's finest fruit juice my ass. And have you watched Pegasus drink that stuff - one sip is like half a glass! Lush.
And just don't get my started on Peggy. He's more sketch than I remembered.

That whole Para/Dox riddle makes me want to go rewrite that one scene in HLH... but I'm not.
And finally... isn't the Black Skull Dragon just so incredibly cuddly? (glomps her BSD action figure) Much better than the BEWD... sorry Kaiba.

Well, that's it for now. I go out of town with my project tomorrow, so I'll be back Thursday to post a few things, and then I'll get back to work on so many things... story writing included. Ciao!

Anywho, all that aside, I AM GOING TO UPDATE!!
Really squeally. April 1st. And no, its not going to be a gag... tempting as it might be.
I've been working on everything, so I hope to get a lot out. But with work and taking care of my dying cat, sometimes I'm too tired/depressed to do anything. Perfect example - the last few weeks. But rest assured, I'll have stuff out this weekend! Here are the definites and the projected...

Definite Updates / Ready as of Today, Minus Edits:

Whew... tired. Last night was Mardi Gras, and perhaps I shouldn't have drunk that entire bottle of Blueberry wine by myself... but it was good stuff!!
Anywho, I'll be updating with my Challenge fic this afternoon... didn't have the coherency to write well last night. Speaking of which, I've got to go look at my sphere grid on FFX - I shudder to think what I did to it last night... *gulps*.
The last two weeks of posting have been lame, I know... I fell down a flight of stairs a couple days after Valentines, so I only posted what I had ready - Wonderwall, Play with Fire, and Death's Gamble. I had planned and started working on more, but painkillers stifle creativity, I tell you. Those lasted through part of last week, hence I only put out PwF and W again.  So, lets see what's in store since I'm off the painkillers and coherent again...
Well, PwF has such the following, I'm afraid not to put it out! So I'll have Chapter 06 of that and Wonderwall 06 for sure, since its already ready.
I'm going to go work on DWG 19 (I think its 19, but whatever is next) and will hopefully have that by next Friday. I hesistate to say this Friday, but I should...
I definately plan to finish up SiCL 02 and ACat6GT 02 - they're written, they just need to be written in non-script format. Sigh.

Hurts Like Hell is up on the agenda, since that's already partially written, so I'll get that soon. 
One Fine Day just updated, so I'll have the next chapter in March, just not this weekend or probably even next.
Pulse's Chibi Adventure... O.o() I forgot about that one... I'll get that chapter 02 pronto! For my one reader! Or two... I'll go look.
Kujaku Confessions - been hung up on that one, but I'm starting to get my groove back, so it'll probably come with OFD.
Hearts in the Shadow Realm 03 will be out with OFD and KC. Really.
Duelist Cafe will come out shortly... I'm stuck on a transitional chapter, but once I get past that, things'll pick up. Its moving a little slower than I'd like it to right now, I've got get past that.
Child of Destruction is definately coming out soonish... I love writing that story, its one of my favorites because I don't have to bother keeping everyone IC, because they're all OCs!! I love it!

Anywho, that's the news on updates, so keep an eye out, and most everything should update within the next couple of weeks!

It felt just like Christmas this morning when I went to my email and had EIGHT reviews! Eight! Excitement! Four for OFD and four for PwF! Whoohoohoo!

* CV pauses for happy dance *

Usually they just sorta trickle in gradually over the weekend, a few lovely die-hards writing me right after they get the author-update-thingie. But never have I had this many at once the morning after posting!

And no, I'm not a review whore, which has endeared me to at least one reviewer - they told me so. I do update regardless of whether or not I get any reviews... though I will say I put more effort into updating stories I actually get reviews on *cough HLH cough*. Okay, coughing aside, I am disappointed at how many hits Hurts Like Hell gets and how few reviews it recieves... but that's okay. I'm still going to try and update it next.

Anywho, I don't have to work today! Why? Because we have a good three + inches of snow outside! Yay! Snow kitties for everyone! I know to you people from up north this is nothing, but to us down here in middle US, its enough to call off work! Yay!

Ouchies. Just returned from my weekly-get-my-ass-kicked-by-Sensei session, special Friday Edition. And of course, my other classmates were smart enough not to show up, so who got to face all of her sadistic wrath? Take a guess. Take one wild, crazy guess. I love the woman, don't get me wrong, but Friday classes are surely a punishment for something Evil I did in a past life, I swear.

Anywho, updated One Fine Day, Play with Fire, and Wonderwall. The other chapters didn't make it because OFD sucked out my soul and ate it. Chewed it into little, tiny, plot-bunny-bite-sized bits. So the others will come next week, whenever I've got my brain, soul, etc. back in my body. And besides, Fridays I'm usually too tired to do much after kenpo and posting besides play video games anyway... Ah, its so hard being single.

And yes, that was sarcasm.

Anyway, I will have a special posting on V-Day or the day before with some mushy crap, so be on the look-out for that. I've got a little smutty Aurikku one-shot on the way, another non-Aurikku FFX oneshot, one for Fruits Basket, and a few other ideas that may not make it past, but we'll see.

O.o Maybe I've become a bit too fond of Live Journal. I think I need to go to LJ rehab.

Anyway, due to the overwhelming amount of people registering on my ff.net stats page, I'll be working on One Fine Day like a fiend. It is by far my most popular story! Yay! So I'll hopefully have Chapter 4 this Friday, for those of you who are impatiently awaiting me. And I hope to keep a steady update stream after that too...

In other update news...

Hurts Like Hell is #2 on the hits factor, along with The Winter Tournament as a close third. HLH will update soon - I hesitate to say this Friday, since I'm putting more effort into One Fine Day. So probably next Friday. And TWT is a big duel, which'll take me about ten hours to write - if the last one is any indication - so I'll work on that Sunday when I can do it all in one sitting. After that, updates will be fairly quick as we rise to the finals and some big revelations.

Everything else is coming along. Kujaku Confessions is probably most neglected right now, because I have something of a block on the next article. I really just need to sit down, write articles, then fit them to the story. So that'll be last on my updating list... sorry. Look for that three Fridays from now, I think.

All right, I have no idea what I was going to write here. Stupid co-worker talking to me... *grumbles*

Anywho, before I get interrupted again... Updates to look for this weekend...

You'll definately see Wonderwall Chapter 03. The probably sees include One Fine Day Ch 04, Seto in Chaos Land Ch 02, Auntie Chaos Ch 02, Play with Fire Ch 03, and maybe maybe Child of Destruction Chapter 13. Maybe.

I'm content. I got the background to work now... so I'm happy! Figures it would be something incredibly simple... *shakes head at own idiocy.* Anywho, this is the same BG I use at Chaos-Land, and on my laptop, and um... desktop. Laptop 2. Gosh, I use this thing everywhere! Its been my favorite background since college, actually. Long long time...
